I'm an undergraduate student looking to go beyond standard coursework. I want to explore mathematical research papers which are both accessible and impactful. I'm interested in papers offering deep insight, elegant proofs, or foundational ideas in an intuitive way.
The articles don’t have to be too advanced — just well-written and thought-provoking. Areas like number theory, combinatorics, topology, analysis, or even math education/philosophy are all welcome.
What research papers (or expository essays) would you recommend for someone at the undergraduate level? Bonus if they’ve influenced your own mathematical thinking!
